Used Jeep Parts

Used Jeep parts are typically sold at a fraction of the cost of new Jeep parts. These parts are taken from Jeeps that are sold for scraps. These parts can also be refurbished-that is, they are taken broken off one Jeep, repaired, and then sold at a small profit by the shop or mechanic. Some people prefer to use new parts, rather than trusting the old or used parts; however, used Jeep parts are typically very safe. Not only are they safe, but they're typically the best choice for people who are fixing their cars on a budget. In some cases, the parts will cost more than the labor, especially if you know enough about your Jeep to fix it yourself. Sometimes it is necessary to cut costs, but as long as you purchase your used Jeep parts from a source you can trust, then you can cut cost without cutting corners.
For the older Willys Jeeps, it's even easier to find used parts. In many cases, the parts are interchangeable with Ford parts. This is because these Jeeps were designed, built, and manufactured for the second World War. While Willys provided about half the Jeeps used in combat, Ford provided the other half. Of course, this fact held true in the first half of the twentieth century, but it is no longer true. For one thing, Willys hasn't manufactured Jeeps in over thirty years. But if you have an older Jeep that you are trying to restore, or that has never stopped running, researching the types of Ford parts you could use isn't a bad idea. It might make your project easier.
